Schools for Club Members
The National Garden Club offers four different schools for club members to become consultants.
The GC of J committee distributes Award of Recognition Stipends to club members who successfully complete NGC schools or refresher courses in Environmental Studies, Flower Show School, Gardening School and Landscape Design.
The Environmental School helps members become accomplished environmental consultants and to help others engage in environmental education.

The Flower Show School is a comprehensive program the teaches participants all you need to know about judging, entering, competing and chairing an NGC Flower Show.

GCFP is starting a new course of Flower Show Schools with Course 1 beginning April 28,29,30 2025 in Gettysburg, PA.
Pam Braum will be teaching Flowering Branches and Bulbous Flowering Plants and Judy Binns will teach "Traditional Design with Elements and Principles of Design."
Aside from this being the first step in becoming a flower show judge, it is open to any club member interested in learning more about horticulture and design.
More information is available on the GCFP website. Costs range from one course with lunch for $160 to the full three day course for credit including lunches for $290.
Accommodations are on your own.
To become a judge, students are required to take and pass all four courses as well as to complete some application-of-skills-learned activities.
Two courses are usually offered per year.
